The decanter has a blue petal shaped foot and matching threading. The stopper is missing.
Decanter was part of the donation to the Allegheny County Maryland Museum by the estate of one of the partners of the decorating company for the Maryland Glass Company. It was in a crate containing Maryland glass except for one piece of Tiffin. It was assumed, by the Museum, it was Maryland and that is the only connection it has to Maryland Glass at this time. There is an identical one with ruby threading. There is a bit of a local connection, possibly, to Fry; local history has it that an area businessman John Schellhaus obtained the Fry plant around 1933 and took a group of glass blowers with him to Rochester.
