Utility Crackle Lamp
Utility Crackle Lamp

Utility Crackle Lamp
"A professional studio picture taken during the period 1925-29 of a Utility Glass Works vase. The Innskeep family made the picture available to me and I had it “cleaned upâ€; the original picture was in rough shape. The family has approved its release to the Museum of American Glass and to the collecting public in general. The lamp is crackled and satinized. The actual color is unknown. I’m still looking for an actual example of this lamp.

"The cardboard on which the picture is mounted is embossed:

Dana B. Merrill
25 West 45th Street
New York

"I have seen similar pictures taken of Imperial glass by the same photographer.

"Additionally, noted on the back is: 'This lamp crackle glass bottom and formed shade was made at the old Utility Glass Co', no date indicated." -- JayGeorge
