Stands 6 5/8 inches tall and is 4 1/2 inches across the top at the OD and had a 4 1/8" ID. The base is octagon in shape and 4 1/2 inches across. The top is indented and has an inner ring. There is a band of roses around the top of the piece and 4 cherubim (2 boys and 2 girls) surrounding the stem. There is a bowl for the top that completes the piece.
Due to it's having a British Reg. Mark impressed into the base it's believed to have been imported to UK in the 1930's, through Jules A Lang & Sons, and was Czech in origin.
According to Frank Andrews, it was common practice for 'agents' to register designs in the countries where they traded because it required local lawyers and language. The registration document may or may not state the designer or manufacturer. A design could have been in circulation prior to registration but the document might state the date of first use. Firms like Lang could also arrange manufacture for a third party or even their own designs and be the registrant. So the options are endless.
