In 1933, Owens-Illinois bought the Hemingray Glass Co. and operated its Muncie, Indiana plant as the Hemingray Division. Hemingray made insulators, bottles, jars, tableware, oil lamps and other items.
Owens-Illinois bought Libbey glass in 1935. For most of their history they made bottles and architectural glass but right after they bought Libbey they made some other items using the label "Glass Art, Owens-Illinois
