A lot of pyrex casserole lids are engraved. From what I have learned, beginning around 1920, Pyrex made several styles and sizes of teapots, and continued until 1934. Most unusual is that they are not heat resistant and were hand made, not pressed.
In the book Pyrex by Corning this shape pot is shown. It was designed by Fred Carder of Steuben fame ; the pots first came out in 1922 by a four man hand shop. They could not be put directly on the flame on a stove but could hold hot water. In 1934 one of the main artisans died and they were no longer produced.
