This tray is 10 1/2" across, and the handle is 4 1/4" tall from the surface of the plate. This pattern is sometimes mistaken for Hocking's Block Optic and Liberty's Bamboo Optic. It has a lightly pressed narrow band of dotted diagonal lines 1/4" from the edge of the plate on the bottom. The handle is very similar to a handle made by Jeannette. Reference is "L. E. Smith Glass Company," by Tom Felt, on pages 144-146. Weatherman's 2 book has a line drawing of the dotted border on page 315. Neither book refers directly to a center handled server.
