Liberty Works Creamer Comparison
Per Bill Quillen in the thread discussion of these cream & sugars: "The Egg Harbor", aka "Octagon Optic" are the rounded and the cone-shaped bottom C & S with the six pointed edges. The rounded bottom has no panels, while the cone shaped one does have the six panels.
I beleive the cone-shaped C & S without panels, and with a rounded edge (left) was sold with the "Notched Square" pattern, for a time. I recently saw a set of the "Notched Square" pink glassware sold on ebay with this type of C & S. The "Notched Square" is one of two distinctly different patterns shown in HMW2 as "Truman". The second is an octagon optic pattern with a scalloped edge. Whether both of these are "Truman" or just one, only HMW would know that. Since Bob Carlson's article on LIBERTY, I would use "Truman" for the octagon optic with scalloped edge, and "Notched Square" for the square glasware in the picture at the bottom of the page 230 in HMW2.
FYI, Bob Carlson's article pictures anther C & S that he believes was sold with the "Notched Square" and "Rounded Square" patterns by LIBERTY.
All of the cuttings in the pictures of these C & S can be attibuted to LIBERTY, although I am not aware of the decoration numbers."
