Pictured in Westmoreland Glass 1888 - 1940, Vol. 3, by Lorraine Kovar.
On page 94: there's a color photo and the text says it's a 12" 1909-4 Flared Bowl. Kovar gives the time frame as 1924-26 and says decorations or cuttings on this line are scarce to very scarce.
Kovar also notes that the outside dimension of this piece is about 12" but that can vary depending on the bend of the rim and how sharply it's bent. The plain 1909 Line consisted of 5 differently shaped bowls and a large 13" plate and was mainly used as a blank for wheel cuttings and decorations.
On page 113: This bowl is shown in a 1930 Fort Dearborn catalog reprint of "Pattern 308." The Westmoreland 1054 candlestick and the 1820 flat rim bowl are also shown. The other items on the page were made by other glass companies. According to Kovar, Fort Dearborn wholesaled this pattern to jewelry and other general merchandise stores.
