Candy Jar Collection IV
Top, Left to Right:
Heisey Plantation, #1567 Comport and Cover, deep, 5 in.
YOP 1948-1957

Three Face Covered Comport 6 in. Originally produced by George Duncan and Sons, the pattern was reproduced by L. G. Wright (molds were acquired by AA Imports at the Wright auction).

Westward Ho Covered Comport 5 in. (comparing size to the others). Originally produced by Gillinder Glass, this pattern was also reproduced by L.G. Wright. Molds also went to AA Imports and Castle Reproductions.

Bottom:
Closeups of Westward Ho Indian finial.

The Three Face pattern is really a neat story. Supposedly it was modeled after Mrs. Duncan. No matter which way you hold the piece, you can see at least two profiles. The details on the originals are remarkable ..
