The pattern has interior panels and ridges like on a castle battlement. Kovar's books and the Chas. West book do not mention this color for Modernistic. Modernistic was introduced in 1927 with 20 pieces and in 1932 with 29. The West book states 3 yellows were made: Canary was introduced in 1916, topaz was 1929 through 1931 and in 1934 lemon yellow.

With no pictures of the colors on this pattern, the conclusion is this piece is either canary yellow or topaz.
