Morgantown # 1500 Dahlia Vase w/ Spring Wreath Etch
Morgantown # 1500 Dahlia Vase w/ Spring Wreath Etch
7 1/4" high with a base of 2 3/4" across and top opening of 2 1/2"
According to Larry Baker, co-author of the "Share the Vision" book on Morgantown plate etchings, there are variations of the Spring Wreath etching with the medallions all open, all closed and half-n-half!
This vase was made by Morgantown during the period when it was called Economy Tumbler. "Great American Glass of the Roaring 20s, and Depression Era, Book 1" attributes this depression pattern, to Economy and says it is the same as the Round Robin pattern. Some glass researchers believe that the maker of the 1500 line is not known i.e, Barbara Mauzy describes the Round Robin pattern as maufacturer unknown.
