Westmoreland #1849 Center Handled Server w/ Unknown Silver Decoration
This is Westmoreland's 10 inch sandwich tray. Overall dimensions are 9-3/4 wide x 5-1/8 tall x 2-1/8 wide handle x 3-5/8 inch collar.

The tray has a silver overlay pattern on pink glass. The decoration is shown on another piece in C. West Wilson's book Westmoreland Glass on page 198. The top of the handle is also overlaid with silver. This decoration has also been found on Fry tableware and stems. The decorator company is unknown, although Fry had its own etching division (Beaver Valley Glass Company) and did gold and silver decoration as well. Beaver Valley Glass also decorated Consolidated and, as here, Westmoreland glass.
