This pattern is identified as U.S. Glass #314 "Scroll & Flower" in Florence's Glassware Pattern Identification Guide, Volume III on pg. 210. However, in a forum discussion, several EAPG experts disagree with that attribution and have said it is not U.S. Glass.
It may be a Kanawha Glass reproduction from an unknown glassmaker's mold, perhaps a flattened #855 bowl in this pattern in colors. However, Kanawha was not known to produce crystal glass and this platter has not been found in color. So this platter remains an undocumented unknown, possibly Kanawha.
The scrolls are raised underneath and are shaped like fiddleheads. The glass is heavy, the base and seam are polished. The platter measures 12" in diameter.
