I've handled some of the Beaumont "ming" style pieces. This appears to be a situation where one manufacturer simply copies another, not an instance of an employee moving (acid-etch technology is pretty simple). The Beaumont pieces sometimes have the design look like it's repeating (perhaps a stencil was used at least some of the time), but the Fenton Ming is entirely random because it was daubed with something like a sponge.
