This 5.25 in. diameter ribbed military hat came in a box labeled "Victory Vanity." The hat was used for powder, candy, ashes, etc. and was produced in the 1940s. http://chataboutdg.com/gallery/details.php?image_id=15203 This is the patent for Jeannette's military hat.
The hat has four mold lines along the side of the hat, one of which goes right through the large eagle, the other two bisect the smaller medallions, and one mold line bisecting the visor.
