Shown on p. 397 as an unknown in Weatherman's "Colored Glass of the Depression Era 2". It is described there as "Marion, bird bath dish, green opaque." Actual measurements are 4-3/4" base diameter, 2-3/4" tall, top is 3-1/4" diameter.
Shown on the Houze website: http://apps.houzeglassmuseum.com/Gallery/album.cfm?a=18196 It is identified there as two seals holding a dish containing a blown glass ivy ball (not shown). The name "Marion" may have come from the location of the plant in Pt. Marion, PA.
The confusion over whether the animals supporting the dish are birds or seals is due to the simplicity of design.
