Federal Madrid vs. Recollection Cups, Creams, Sugars
For sugars, creams and cups, the way to tell original Madrid from reproduction Recollection is the spot where the handles connect to the body. In the original 1930s pieces, this looks like a tear drop. In the newer pieces, it is an oval.

The original Federal Glass attachment is shown on the left. Note the teardrop attachment point of the handle. Photo courtesy of Darlene Simpson.

The reproduction is shown on the right. Note the ovoid shape of the attachment. Photo courtesy of Karen Mantone-Pillar.
