Dunbar first did business as Dunbar Flint Glass Corporation in Dunbar W. V. in 1913. They made lamp chimneys.
During the depression era they had greatly expanded their products to include blown and pressed tableware. They are perhaps best known for their pitchers and other beverage services.
In the 1920s, they made lots of rose pink and bermuda green. In the 1930s, they added steigel green, cobalt blue and ruby. A special line came out in 1936 which included topaz, amethyst, ruby and blue lustres. They closed their plant in 1953.
