Unknown Ribbed Candy Jar
8.5 in. tall. Half pound size.

The thumbnail and photos of the blue candy on the left are courtesy of Walter Lemiski - Waltz Time Antiques.

The middle and right photos are courtesy of Larry Baker. The last photo shows the half pound and one pound sizes.

The candy's manufacturer is not Morgantown #1500 and not Diamond Adam's Rib. According to candy box expert, Larry Baker, it has been seen "in Crystal, a medium Blue, lighter Blue, Apple Green, Marigold Flash and Vaseline. They are often satin finished. There are half-pound and 1-pound sizes."

Larry Baker believes the candy boxes to be U.S. Glass, possibly a ribbed variant of the #179. The cover matches the 179 cover, but the finial is faceted. The colors for the most part match USG Co. colors. There is however no definitive proof for U.S. Glass as manufacturer.

Until documentation of this candy is found, it is still regarded as of unknown manufacture.
