Duncan & Miller # 919 Ice Cream or Sherbet w/ Attached Underplate
About 3" high. Nice milk glass--just a bit of fire to it. The foot curves up at the outside edge, forming an attached underplate. Krause in The Years of Duncan shows several pieces, four of which have with attached underplates; the rest are without. All are designated generically as "egg glass." Whether that term refers to the color of the glass or to the shape is not clear. See below:

D&M ca. 1900 catalog in F. Bones The Book of Duncan Glass, p. 111 shows this shape as an ice cream. This book designates "egg glasses" as taller, more tubular in shape; some have attached underplates, some do not and are just called "Egg". Other items on the catalog page have specific names. "Egg Glass" is not used as a generic term.
