Fostoria # 757 Celestial Vase
"Fostoria Tableware 1944-1986" by Milbra Long & Emily Seate shows a # 757 vase that looks like this one on page 288. The Celestial pattern on this page which was produced in 1985 shows an 8 inch tall vase in crystal. The book says the Celestial pattern was made in crystal, blue, and Sun Gold with an iridescent finish. Unfortunately, the ad for the Celestial vase has the top rim covered up with flowers making it impossible to verify that the top rim is the same. The Fostoria versions of this pattern are marked with the word Fostoria etched into the mold. This mark is present on this vase. An example of the molded mark can be found at http://chataboutdg.com/gallery/details.php?image_id=11712

This vertical ribbed vase is almost identical to a black vase seen on Ebay with a Tiara label on it, however it is 7 1/2 inches tall, 5 inches across the top with a 2 3/4 inch wide base and the vase on eBay is listed as only 6 1/2 inches tall.

Federal first produced this pattern in the 1970s then Indiana used the molds in 1985 and marked them Fostoria and they were sold in the Fostoria outlets. Indiana also used them for Tiara starting in 1985.
