L. E. Smith Compote in Bittersweet
This looks like Smith's #2801 Simplicity Crimped Compote show in Tom Felt's book "L.E. Smith Glass Company, The First One Hundred Years" on page 130. The compote in the book has a crimped rim creating a bowl. This looks like the same glass with an almost flat dish. The compote in the book has a Fayette label which dates it to the 1968-1970.
