Prism are attached to a fixed bobeche, base is ground. Glass is well balanced and has good clarity.

Similar candlesticks have been found in Duncan and L. E. Smith catalogues and book listings but both have been ruled out because of several differences. The Duncan one found had a flat base and only two levels of decorated shapes on the stem. The Smith example has a different pattern on the base as well as a slightly different stem shape.

Tom Felt, co author of the 3 book set, "The Glass Candlestick Book" thinks they are also similar to some sticks done by Indiana but he thinks they are more likely to be European.
