Cambridge #4000 Cascade NCC Goblet w/ Opalescent Rim
This goblet is cut with NCC 1997 (National Cambridge Collectors) and perhaps was specially made to commemorate an annual convention in 1997 and sold as a fundraiser. (See inset image).

The original stemware line was in production between 1947-1956 in Crystal, dark Emerald, and Mandarin Gold.

This goblet was originally made in two styles. As introduced in 1947, the cascades curved downward and the ball of the stem was near the foot. At some point for some unknown reason, the direction of the cascades was reversed and the ball of the stem was inverted. The version shown above appears to be a combination of these two styles. (See Mark A. Nye, Cambridge Stemware, 2nd edition, 1994.
