These vases are swung to 17" tall. Base measures 3 inches. Heisey's pattern #1540, Lariat was produced from 1942 to 1957. This pattern was originally called Gordian Knot but the name was quickly changed to Lariat. The twisting of a heavy gold watch chain is purported to be the inspiration for the pattern. Lariat was designed to compete with Imperial's Candlewick pattern. These two vases were bought in different years from different dealers. Both bear the same floral cutting of unknown origin.
