Ice lip jug holds 3 pints. Heisey's #1170 Pleat & Panel pattern. The pattern name was assigned by researchers. Pleat & Panel was made from 1925 to 1937. There are several examples of this pattern in the Gallery but this Ice Jug is the only piece listed as made in Sahara. Sahara was introduced in 1930 and was one of Heisey's best selling colors.
This is sometimes referred to as an Ice Lip Jug because of the design of the spout.
