Paden City # 221 Maya Center Handle Server
Documentation for this 11" server in amber and other amber pieces in the Maya pattern have not been found. According to Tom Felt, "I don't know that anyone has determined exactly when #221 came out, but amber was made from 1925-1935, so was definitely being made when light blue was introduced in 1928, one of the two colors #221 is usually found in. We don't know exactly when ruby, the other color #221 is known in, was introduced, but know that it was in production in the early 1930s until at least 1935. So it doesn't surprise me that you have found an undocumented color for this pattern--any color that was in production when a given pattern was made is always a possibility."
