Heisey #1509 Queen Ann Compote with Unknown Cutting
Heisey's Empress #1401 pattern is often confused with Queen Ann. Queen Ann was only made in crystal while Empress came in several colors. Queen Ann has an optic while Empress does not. Empress is a much larger line than Queen Ann.

Another confusion exists regarding the spelling of the name. Heisey made both a Queen Anne and a Queen Ann pattern. The first is a much older pattern from around the turn of the century. It has a shield type pattern with beveled edges on the shields.
