The grape vine etchings are all very hard to distinguish. Fostoria compounded this problem by making Vintage with large etchings for large items and the grape band for smaller. This large design appears to be the inspiration for New Vintage.Glass researcher, Larry Baker, states " I do not know of any reliable way to tell the 2 Fostoria etchings apart on large items like jugs! Nor do I know if there is supposed to be any difference."
