L. E. Smith # 707 Melba Candlestick
Tom Felt, author of the book, "L. E. Smith Glass Company, The First Hundred Years" says "This candlestick is not in my new book on L. E. Smith, but it sure looks like it ought to be. The motif around the rim is identical to that on the pattern that Weatherman (book 2, p. 316) calls "Melba," and that is also known as "Pebbled Rim." It was a large pattern, in production from 1928 to 1932 in green and rose, with pieces made with both round and octagonal edges. The original hand-written factory inventories from the 1920s and 1930s list many candlesticks that I was unable to identify, due to the lack of catalogs from that period, and I am almost certain that this has to be one of them."
