Unknown Torchiere Lamp
This lamp is being moved to Unknowns based on information provided by Ken Nicol. There is no documentation that Tiffin made this lamp without the finial, and the weight of the glass is much thicker on this example than on Tiffin's Torchere lamps. A similar shaped lamp was also made by Gillinder, so that is a possibility. No documentation has been found at this time to confirm either maker.

This is the information from the original posting:

Tiffin's Crystal Satin Glass #E-4 10-1/2" "Torchere Lamp" missing the finial that is known to be a part of the lamp. What happened to the finial is unknown.

The complete lamp with its finial is shown on page 158 of Tiffin Glass 1914-1940. The complete lamp is also shown on p. 159 in another ad with the word "Torchiere" correctly spelled.

Both ads are signed United States Glass Company. One is from 1923, the second from 1925.
