Westmoreland Car Candy Container
This candy contaner is listed in "Collector's Guide to Candy Containers" by Douglas M. Dezso, J. Leon Poirier, and Rose D. Poirier (1998) as being circa 1918-1923.

It has the following mark embossed in the glass:

"Westmoreland
Grapeville, PA
_ _ _ N or H NO286
PAT APLd FOR"

On the 3rd line, there are three characters not visible, the fourth character is either an N or an H. We suppose that the number 286 is mold or item number. The metal roof slides on and off.
