Potomac Glass Company History
Potomac Glass Company History |
Potomac Glass Company, Cumberland, Maryland (1904-1929).
Early advertisements summed up their specialties as "Hand-Made Stemware, Light Cut Tumblers, Deep Plate Etchings, full line of Bar Glassware." Blown stemware remained their primary product, though some pressed ware was also made in the later 1920s. Colors known during these years include amber, canary, various shades of green, and pink. Many forms of decoration were also offered, including gold-filled bands similar to those done by Lotus and Honesdale, etchings, and cuttings. The factory burned in 1929.
