This factory went through several incarnations, beginning as the Dugan Glass Company in 1914 and then becoming the Lonaconing Glass Company from 1915-1918. In 1920, it reopened as the Utility Glass Works. One of its primary products was non-glare automobile headlight lenses, but some pressed and blown tableware was also manufactured. Cutting and etchings were also offered. In 1929, the factory closed once again and was reopened from 1929-1932 as Sloan Brothers, offering rock crystal cuttings.
