Fostoria Glass Ad
Ad was featured in the August 1943 edition of the Crockery & Glass Journal.

The text reads -

"Your sighs make us puff!

Buyers of glassware are unhappy about the amount of time it takes to get delivery on an order. We are, too!

So we have been casting about for a way to produce more Fostoria per manhour than we ever thought possible -and we have found one.

You may not like it too well but, so help us, there is no other. The way is simply this - concentrate on producing things that can be produced in greatest volume.

That means pressed crystal, primarily. Other Fostoria lines......Master Etchings, Cuttings & Carvings, aren't being abandoned. Not by a long shot. They will be turned out as fast as available manpower will allow, and we look foward to the day when we can turn out more. But right now we can make and deliver pressed glass faster.

So our forthcoming national advertising is devoted to those two popular pressed patterns, American and Colony. We suggest that you plan your selling and promotion for the fall and holiday season to tie in with the national advertising. Give American and Colony the play!

We shall do everything possible to keep you stocked."
