Fostoria made the 2297 bowl in several sizes and shapes. The consistent design element in all the 2297 shapes is the three toed base. It is often found with a spiral optic.
This is their Bowl A. It is 12 1/4" by 3". It has three feet and the bottom is 5 5/8" across. The cutting could not be found in the cuttings documented in the Seate and Long "Fostoria Tableware 1924-1943" .
