"The Imperial Encyclopedia, Vol II" by James Measell indicates that regardless of the exterior motif on the glass, i.e. Katy with its all over diamond hobs, or plain crystal, the pattern is still Lace Edge in the company's records. This book indicates the other names such as (Crocheted Edge) and (Katy) were Weatherman names.

This is another lookalike. The book says that the difference between Hocking's Old Colony and Imperial's Lace edge is in the shape of the opening with Lace Edge pieces having a fan shaped opening and Old Colony having circular shaped openings.
