Abels, Wasserberg & Co. (AWCO) began using the Charleton trade name in 1943. They purchased glass and fine porcelain (even some Limoges) to be decorated at the company. Some of the main suppliers were Fenton, Cambridge, Consolidated, Heisey, Duncan & Miller, and many other large glass houses of the day.
The company filed bankruptcy in 1967, and the Charleton trademark and some inventory were purchased at that time by the Beth Weissman Company (see next listing).
