New Martinsville # 282/283 Stem Comparison
This image is from the West Virginia Museum of American Glass (WVMAG) Monograph #77 from New Martinsville catalogs. According to Tom Felt, "The No. 282 goblet is 9 oz. and available both plain and optic. The No. 283 goblet is 10 oz. and available both optic and plain. (That's the small print that we can't read in the monograph.) There is also a No. 282 wine, which is 2 1/2 oz....-- but the catalog only shows it plain and does not mention the optic being available. However it seems likely to me that it would have been available both ways as well."
