Measures about 12 inches high and has a base diameter. Note the #1310 bird is scarcer and has a shorter tail and a base diameter of about 3 inches.
Introduced in the 1962 catalog and made until Viking closed its doors. Offered in many colors and also with satin finishes.
In his book, Dean Six includes a quote by Franklin "Bud" Smith, a VP at Viking, "The 1311 bird was the best seller Viking ever had. We kept one shop making them almost continually."
