Fostoria #2324 Ebony Candleholder with Fostoria Mark
Molded mark was only used for a very short time.

This candle holder is 3" high with a 4-1/2" base Standard 1" candle opening in Ebony (dark amethyst).

What makes this candle holder interesting is Fostoria's script 'F' signature molded in the bottom. The following quote is taken from page 64 of: Juanita Williams' "Fostoria Glass - Scarce, Unique & Whimsies" " Extremely unique is the Fostoria "F" signature in the bottom of these candles." ".... shows detail of the "F' center bottom. This is the only pair known to be marked in this fashion. Believed to be patent pending and/or salesman sample." Ms. Williams is refering to the pictures of a blue pair which she identified as Line 2375.

It is our understanding that the Line 2375 (Fairfax) Line candleholder has a hexagonal ring at the bottom of the candle cup while the 2324 Line candleholder has a round ring at the bottom of the cup.
