This ad was featured in the March 1944 edition of the Crockery and Glass Journal on page 28. It features an elaborate glass and Candelabra by Indiana (#1007) with a lucity tray combination supporting 4 small vases.
According to Tom Felt, Louis Levien started out in 1909 as a cut glass company, up until the early 1920s advertising deep cut pieces. By 1923 the company was offering engravings and encrusted gold glass and serving as the distributor for the National Silver Deposit Co. and American Tray Co., with ads sometimes listing the firm as Louis Levien Sales Co., but most often as Louis Levien Cut Glass Co. I'm guessing that it was either a distributing or decorating company when this ad was placed.
Their ads from the 1920s and 1930s show engravings on blanks from Fostoria and probably other companies, so it was clear that Levien was using glass from other factories.
